Family Pictures 2009

Kirstin did such a great job with our pictures this year! She is awesome and so easy to work with. Maddox on the other hand was a stinker and was only in about 50% of the pictures. The pictures we did get I love!

What's been going on!

What's with the face? I honestly don't know. I do know that when I try to take a picture of myself I look just as stupid. So, I'm saving time and posting this one. I've been so sick of short hair lately. So I put extensions in myself. Oh WOW they take a long time, but it was worth it because I love them. It was either this or the "Bump-It". Hahahah!!!
Samantha's Cake
This was 1 out of the 2 cakes I did this weekend. I've never had anyone put rocks on their cake, but they had special meaning to the couple so it was sweet. It's not really the style I'm use to but it seemed to flow with the rest of their wedding.

Kristin's Cake
I must say that this one is going on my favorite's list. I love doing anything black and white. I would have picked this out for my own wedding.

We went to the Treehouse Museum a couple weeks ago and it's a blast for little ones. They have so many different things they can do, plus they are all hands on learning activities.

Jack was showing Maddox how to milk the cow, which you can really milk.

Playing trains.
I love my boys.

Dear Nonexistent Diary

I wouldn't even consider myself down but more annoyed than anything else. I usually would write these things down in my personal journal, wipe my hands and be done with it. All the while feeling much better just to get it all out. Well, I don't keep a journal anymore and I'm not sure why. Annoyance #1. I use to write in my journal religiously. I have two big books to prove it. Now all I have is a blog. Let's face it that's a down grade. I'm adding that on my long list of things to work on.

#2 I forgot to put on deodorant today. I know it's sick.

#3 Part of me wants another baby but knows it's not time yet.

#4 It's never okay to wear jeans to any wedding unless the invite starts out "Howdy y'all were getting hitched...." Surprisingly some people don't know this.

#5 Anyone who addresses me as Ma'am. Reserve that for the 80 year old thank you.

#6 Regrowth- I have it more often than not. Funny story... I had my hair dyed recently and for some reason a few days later it really started to bother me that my eye brows were so much darker than my ummm.... less than natural blonde hair. So I took matters into my own hands and "lightened" them..... to a lovely shade of apricot. I've never been so grateful for eye brow pencils. For those of you that think I'm so crafty, turns out not so much in eye brow department. I've made my peace with the dark eye brows.

#7 I've stopped running. In all the craziness my exercise routine as taken a backseat and my motivation has all but disappeared. Well my backside has swollen. I walk and my butt sways a step behind. I wish I was kidding. I'm starting again NOW.

#8 Jack is gone and I have to sleep alone.

On a much better note I got a few days of R&R with my cousin and grandma this last week. They really are the best. Jodi is amazing. She possesses so many qualities I strive to have. Hang out with her for an hour and you'll see what I'm talking about. I've wanted to be just like her since I was little, not much has changed.

All grandma's are great, but I gotta say mine is awesome. We swam in her pool one day which was heated to 90 degrees. Out of the 3 of us she was the only one who dove off the diving board. She always has the best food at her house and lots of it. She loves to shop. After she bought us lunch at Chili's we stopped at Target to browse and she bought everything that was in my cart and in Jodi's. Who does that?? My grandma that's who!!! She's stylish and spunky and I love her guts.

#1 Idaho

This is the beginning of the end for Jack and his long relationship with school. It's true what they say about leaving the best/hardest for last. I've been dreading this week since Jack started the program and it's finally here. I expected to be sad and to have it be hard but it's harder than I anticipated. I'm going to miss our old house that smells like old people and having to share one tiny bathroom. Some of our best memories are here and I'm sad to see it go. On the bright side of all this I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and how different our lives will be in 15 months! Can I get a Hallelujah!!! This is going to be a HUGE Change but lucky for us this change isn't permanent! Usually in this case I would wish Jack good luck but I feel that he has well prepared himself over this last year and really doesn't need it. So I'm wishing myself good luck that I'll be able to keep it together and do as good of a job at home as I know Jack will be doing there! Next stop. . . . . Ogden!!! WoooHooo!

What I've Been Doing

I've had cakes coming out of my ears these last couple weeks. Here are a few of them!

Jack's Grandma Joan had her 80th Birthday this last month. I'm not a huge fan of peach and have never used it on a cake but it is her favorite color so I aimed to please the birthday girl. I was surprised at how it turned out. I didn't know peach could be so pretty!

Linley's Wedding Cake
I loved this cake! The dots are buttons covered with fabric that she used in her wedding and the brown leaves are actually ribbon! She also did 300 mini cupcakes in blue and green.

Heidi's Wedding Cake
I always love anything with bright colors and this one was fun to do. My hands were a nice shade of orange with a hint of pink for the next two days. It looked like I had used a bad self tanner and didn't wash my hands. It was worth it! It turned out nice and I think she liked it!
